The Sacrament of Reconciliation
God loves all humanity. He delights in us. He never loses faith in us, even though we may lose faith in ourselves. He never ceases to love us, even though we may have turned our back on him and tried to reject him and his Church. God’s mercy is endless, and it gives him joy to take away our sins.
When you celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, then, think more of God and his mercy than of your sins. Your very wish to celebrate it, and the effort you make to do so, are signs that God’s love is already enfolding you and his grace is at work in you.

Confession in our Parishes
The Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as Confession or the Sacrament of Penance, is celebrated every Saturday after the 10am and 6pm Masses in Beaumont Parish and after the 7pm Mass on Saturdays in the Church of the Holy Child.
You can request the Sacrament from any of the priests of our Parishes, or by arranging a time, even anonymously, through the Parish Office.
In this sacrament, we experience a beautiful encounter with Jesus Christ who is waiting to forgive us if we come to Him with a sincere desire to be forgiven and to begin again in His love.
There is also a Liturgy of Penance and Reconciliation celebrated twice a year during the Season of Lent and Advent.
Preparation for Confession
As you prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, begin not by thinking about your own life but about the life and words of Jesus. It is good to have a standard against which to measure your life and the kind of person you are. Jesus provides the standard for us Christians. He loved God and his neighbour with a love beyond all.
